Biography
He began his studies at the Higher Conservatory of Music in Malaga when he was just 8 years old. After years of learning, and thanks to the influence of the musical trends of the 80s and 90s, Rubén Zurita begins his career as deejay. With more than 20 years of experience behind him, he has already passed through booths in half of Spain and has performed abroad on numerous occasions, in countries such as Indonesia, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, UK, among others.
His style is very varied, going through a multitude of styles and musical genres, from deep melodic, funky house, afro house, Ethnic downtempo, tech house or techno. A versatile artist who knows how to handle any type of event.
As a producer he started in 2008 and since then, he has signed for labels around the world, editing on more than 100 different labels and with more than 500 releases since date. We highlight among them Bar 25 Music, Open Bar Music, Stick Recordings, Sanity, Low Groove, No Preset Records, Ammo Recordings, Defined Music, Aparenzza Music, Patent Skillz, Nirvana Recordings, Sudam, and their own label The Roost Music with that has managed to position itself in the first positions of sales at international level in portals such as BEATPORT, Traxsource, Itunes or Trackitdown.
He has collaborated and remixed artists such as Joeski, Deepshakerz, Will Monotone, German Brigante, Cuartero, Patrick M, Cele, Ernest Oh, Yamil, Rico Martinez, Flavio Martini, Luca M, Sebastian Ledher, among others.
In 2015 he founded his own record label: The Roost Music, together with an event promoter called The Roost, with which he has achieved many successes in different cities in Spain. In 2016, he crossed the Atlantic to take a tour of Mexican lands, taking his brand and music to places like Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Cancun, Tulum and the Dominican Republic, where he will organize various events and exhibitions during the BPM Festival.
Artists such as Richie Hawtin, Carld Cox, Marco Carola, Audiojack, Nicole Moudaber, Stacey Pullen, Stefano Noferini, Ovidi Adlert, Dennis Cruz, Yamil, David Herrero, Joeski, Green Velvet or Bellocca have played their tracks at events around the world.
