Eivissa Fresh Flavours Records is proud to present its latest release, EFF015: “ONCE UPON A TIME (Remix)” by Christian Montoya. This remix is the result of a perfect serendipity that took place in Madeira, an Atlantic island that has historically connected Europe, Africa, and the Americas. During his creative stay in Madeira, Christian Montoya connected musically with Rukka during an interview for RTP Madeira (October 31, 2025). From that harmony emerged the idea to reinterpret the original track “Once Upon a Time,” a song about healing and connection created with the voice of Sandra d’Oria and the talent of Rukka & Juan Freitas.

ABOUT THE REMIX

Christian Montoya approaches the remix with deep respect for the original. He preserves and enhances Sandra d’Oria’s voice while maintaining its essential harmony, building a rhythmic foundation that reflects his multicultural heritage: the Chilean and gipsy rhythmic fire (on his father’s side) and the melodic pursuit inherited from his grandfather, a musician of German descent (from the early settlers in Chile), who passed on his love for the accordion. The result is a smooth and sunlit dance, perfect for sunsets, bearing the signature Organic House and Afro-Latin nuances characteristic of Montoya.
