Mario Sylleros, known by his stage name "DJ Masyga," is a Chilean-born DJ and artist with a long-standing career that began as a guitarist in the rock band Alter Ego during the 90s. His early connection with music laid the foundation for his diverse creative path. In 1997, he moved to Madrid, where he launched his first projects merging music with visual art, working on visuals and projections for prestigious events for brands like Kenzo, Bulgari, and the iconic House World party at Pacha Ibiza between 2000 and 2006.
By 2006, Masyga shifted his focus from visuals to sound, diving deep into the world of DJing. His residency at Zenith Club in Madrid marked the beginning of his journey as a DJ. In 2008, he took his music to an international level with a debut performance at Club XIII in Moscow. His international recognition grew quickly, leading to a residency at Pacha Moscow in 2010. That same year, he toured across Russia's major cities, further expanding his reach.
Between 2010 and 2013, Masyga balanced residencies at Villa Mercedes Ibiza and Pacha Moscow, traveling monthly to perform in Russia while cultivating his unique sound in Ibiza. In 2014, he took up residency at Jacarandá Ibiza for two years, creating an energetic and joyful atmosphere around the pool.
Since 2015, DJ Masyga has been the resident DJ and artist manager at Aperture Terrace at the Hotel Marina Playa in Ibiza. In addition to curating all the venue's musical content, he delivers captivating poolside sessions in the afternoons. His weekly special session, “Ethnic,” brings together electronic music from diverse regions, accompanied by his electric guitar, blending live instrumental performance with his DJ sets.
Over the years, Masyga has gained extensive experience across a wide range of musical styles, giving him the tools to connect deeply with audiences from various backgrounds. His ability to read the room, taking into account factors such as nationality, age, and mood, has allowed him to craft truly memorable musical experiences.
